                     A specialist in the areas of Kinematics and Dynamics of Machinery, Design and Robotics, Prof. Amarnath has several publications to his credit. He has established the Robotics Lab, the Textile Lab and the Innovation Centre at IITB. He hasbeen a consultant to several industries like L&T, Godrej, BHEL, Cromptons and Nuclear Power Corporation. Major projects under taken by him (some as member of a team) include a Spiral Heat Exchanger Mfg. Machine (L&T), Burner Tilt Mechanism (BHEL), Dynamic Analysis of Circuit Breakers (CG,BHEL,L&T), Push-Pull Mechanism for Reactors (NPC), Dynamic Analysis of Rotors of 200MW Steam Turbines (NHEL), Six legged walking machine (BRNS-BARC) and a Remotely Operated Mobile Robot for the Army Technology Board.
